Amy Gillett Road Cycling Scholarship 2012
15th February 2012
The Amy Gillett Cycling Scholarship encourages the development of talent, self-confidence, leadership, sportsmanship and a positive approach in young female road cyclists to competition, educational pursuits and life, consistent with the way in which Amy lived her life.
Each year, in partnership with Cycling Australia and the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS), the Amy Gillett Foundation provides the opportunity for a rider to compete and train, including overseas racing commitments, under the supervision of the Cycling Australia AIS High Performance Program. Over the six year history of the Scholarship, all previous recipients have progressed to national team and/or international professional cycling careers with much success amongst these role model athletes.
