Amy’s Ride Geelong 2012

Congratulations to all the participants, volunteers, supporters and event crew for enduring the hot conditions of the 7th annual Amy's Ride Geelong!

The team at the AGF hope the post ride recovery day finds you rested and rehydrated, and enjoying slightly cooler weather. Here's a snippet from ABC TV of how riders started the day.

Riders responded well to our safety contingency requirement to ‘take the shorter route option’ and when the temperature soared, our fantastic team of event logistics personnel, medical services and volunteers helped riders to complete Amy’s Ride and provided vital support to those for whom the heat prevailed.

Back at the village, riders relaxed and rehydrated, and enjoyed a family day out with the band and kids’ entertainment, the AustCycle clinics - to get their kids riding, and the excitement of the Jayco Bay Cycling Classic.

We are grateful to the many pro team riders who took part including from GreenEDGE, Jayco-AIS, Lulemon, Pitcher Partners and Honda Dream Team just to name a few
