Giving Day 2022

The Amy Gillett Foundation is pleased to announce
our Giving Day 2022!

On March 10 we want you to help us save lives, as we launch our new Safe Roads for Safe Cycling program for Giving Day.

During our Giving Day campaign, all donations will be doubled, thanks to the generosity of our matched donors.
That means your donation will have DOUBLE the IMPACT and ignite a new chapter for the Amy Gillett Foundation.

Why is Giving Day so important?

  • In Australia, over 20 cyclists are hospitalised each day and a cyclist is killed every 9 days. This is preventable.
  • Australian roads could be better engineered to reduce the risk of death when a driver or rider makes an error.
  • Feeling unsafe on our roads is the number one reason why more people are not riding their bikes more often.
  • Cyclists feel victimised, scared and not respected on our roads.

Safe Roads for Safe Cycling

Safe Roads for Safe Cycling will save lives and reduce road trauma and serious injuries. Our program aims to deliver safe bikes lanes and road shoulders and foster a positive shift in attitudes towards all riders of all ages

We plan to deliver low cost, high impact tasks to embed safe cycling into the street design process and rally community support for change
