On 7 October 2020, The Victorian Government announced a $13 million investment in temp bikes lanes across inner Melbourne suburbs.
Congratulations Victoria, this support for cycling will save lives and keep people riding!
In May 2020, the Amy Gillett Foundation identified through YouGov polling that 75% of drivers would feel safer on roads with temporary separated bike lanes and that 89 % of Australians supports the installation of temporary bike lanes in their local area to increase safety for people riding bikes for transport.
Temporary separated bike lanes will help people who want to ride and keep the road free for people who need to drive.
NSW, QLD and Victoria support temp bike lanes to help us build back better after COVID, who’s next?
